Select Energy Services Wins Environmental Initiative of the Year at 2013 Oil and Gas Awards
(Houston, TX) – October 23, 2013 – Select Energy Services, LLC (Select), today announced it took home the award for Environmental Initiative of the Year at the 2013 Southwest Oil and Gas Awards gala dinner, held at the Taste of Texas Ballroom, Sheraton Hotel and Spa in Fort Worth, TX, on October 22.
Select Energy Services recently completed a commercial treatment project in the Permian region for a large, independent energy producer. Select was able to maintain completion schedules in the West Texas region by successfully treating and recycling produced water.
“Providing full-scale water solutions to our customers is at the core of what we do,” said Mike Howdeshell, vice president of Select Energy Services’ engineered water solutions group, Fluidity. “We feel that the project in our Permian region is an excellent example of that, and we are honored to hear that our industry peers feel the same way.”
A panel comprised of 52 leading industry executives reviewed over 400 entries from 250 companies to narrow down finalists for each category.
